THUNDER WINS BEAR CREEK CHAMPIONSHIP
November 8, 2007
The Thunder won the Bear Creek Fall League championship game on 11/02/2007 by a score of 11 to 10. It was a hitting display by both teams ending with the Thunder winning in the bottom of the seventh. Michael Wolfskill doubled to left field and Aaron Zwahr drove him home for the winning run. It was a great game with the Thunder down early. Ben Distefano tied the game on a grand slam giving the Thunder the momentum.
The Thunder team was made up of 13 to 16 year olds and coached by Keith Elliott and Greg Branning. Thank you both for a great fall season.

The Thunder closed its 2007 spring baseball season with another winning record. The team placed second in the Homeschool World Series Association (HWSA) Regional Qualifying Tournament in April, qualifying for the HWSA World Series in Pensacola, Florida for the first time in team history. The Thunder won three straight games but then lost in the championship game finishing as the number TWO homeschool baseball team in the country! Thank you parents and players for a memorable season.
The Thunder will begin its fall season on August 27th. The team will be playing in a fall league at Baseball USA beginning September 4th.
Additionally, the Junior High program will begin practice for their upcoming fall season.
The Thunder is currently recruiting players for the 2007-2008 season. The Thunder practices are currently being held at the Memorial Ashford Little League complex, near Eldridge and Briar Forest.
